Has anyone tried using power a link ethernet adapter to connect the set top box instead of WiFi?

In an effort to attain a more consistent experience with Uverse in my bedroom (even though it shows 5 green bars I have pixelation, freezing and some complete disconnects) I am looking at options to bring ethernet into my room. I have been looking at Power Link options (using electrical outlets to connect to your network) and then connecting the STB via the ethernet port.

Has anyone attempted this?

Here are the adapters I am considering:

perhaps coincidently, I've had no issues with the wireless STB in my bedroom lately. Go figure.

For anyone looking at this, I eventually bought TP-Link AV2000 (https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Powerline-Pass-through-TL-PA9020P-KIT/dp/B01H74VKZU)

I installed it yesterday and it works really well, the modem/router is on the first floor and my bedroom in on the 2nd.

I used the included network cable to go from the router to one of the AV2000 units plugged in an outlet and then plugged my UPS into the passthrough outlet then I went upstairs and plugged the other AV2000 unit into an outlet. I pressed the pair button which only took about 3 minutes. I checked my speed using an old laptop which reported 55mb up and 55mb down (I get 375-400 down and 290-325 up on my desktop wired 6 feet from the router). I turned off my WAP, as my TV was the only wireless STB used frequently, I connected my STB via the ethernet cable and restarted it. It eventually gave up trying to connect to the WAP and reboot and then used the ethernet connection. I am now using a "wired" connection to my STB in my bedroom.

It has only been 1 night so I'll come back and update this later, I figured though, I'd come back and document what I decided to try.
