Is there a classical music option on Stingray?

I don't mean classic pop or rock or even classical indian, which are all options. I mean good old-fashioned symphony stuff.

Can we swap the Farsi or Philipine music for some classical or is the demand just too high for those? ; )

There are five classical music channels on Stingray

Baroque

Baroque goes back, way back to the 50’s. Not the 1950’s, the 1650’s! Rich melodic music from 1600 to 1750.

Chamber Music

Another channel you’ll only find on Stingray Music. No ads, no talk, just continuous chamber music. This is the channel for the serious lover of classical music.

Classic Masters

Sophisticated, stimulating and sweeping. Classic Masters delivers the classical concertos, symphonies and ballet music from 1760 to the present.

Opéra Plus

Whether you are an opera aficionado, or are just tempted to discover the talent of the tenors.

Pop Classics

The world’s best-loved, classical melodies. Beethoven’s simple “Für Elise,” Tchaikovsky’s stirring 1812 Overture, Strauss waltzes.

They're not options in my listing guide (didn't see them scrolling or by using the Search function). I'm in the Chicago area and Stingray just went live.

These classical channels are not an option on my system as well. As someone who listened to the Classical channels EVERY DAY, I'm very upset about this!!!

They are all in the app on 1531, so you do have them, even if you don't have the channels. 😉

Why wouldn't they add it as a channel option? Much easier to navigate that way!!

Thanks, Chris. As long as it works, I don't much care what I have to click to get it.

This has become really less than customer friendly. My wife and I are really upset. We are seriously considering other options. I am really tired of no longer having the services I signed up for.

Agree completely with AndyFi.

The channels I see include music of France, Italy, Poland, India, and in Farsi and Cantonese, among others.  If I want to select my type of music (happens to be classical), I have to go through the whole "App" procedure.  Why are 17 of the 75 music channels featuring music that aren't even from my continent?  The logical approach would be to include "major" categories, or at least a few, on the default channels, and make the more eclectic ones available through Apps.  As it is, there's FAR more versions of some music styles than are needed, while others are completely ignored.

Who came up with this absurd lineup?

Here's the problem:

while you may be albe to find a channel "only on Stingray", the problem is that it's so hard to find, and when you do, it's unnecessarily complex to get to it.  Try flipping between selections that aren't on the basic channels--I dare you.  I used to just use the "last" button to switch between my two favorites.

The impression given is that music from all over the world, in multiple languages, is of more importance to your customers than any music they may prefer.  It is not good business practice to bludgeon your customers, particularly in light of the number of alternatives available.  Not smart, ATT&T / Stingray.

I simplified it by adding channels to the My Channels list so I can go to them faster. I do wish they were channels but at least I gpt my Broadway music back, as well as movie channels, various classical, and even a Greek music station which I will enjoy.
