live program freezes and skips while recording different program

Since installation a few weeks ago I have had a problem with live and recorded programs freezing and skipping.  We disconnected one of the two wired receivers and it "seemed" to help.  However, now whenever I am recording a show, any program I try to watch live will intermittently freeze and skip.  There are only two persons in the house, and little to no internet use while experiencing this problem.  I am about ready to throw in the towel and revert to Charter.  Three service calls with no fix.  The online diagnostic tool finds no problem.  I had Uverse about 3 years ago and did not have this problem.  I have one main DVR receiver and two wireless receivers active.  I have a model 5268AC modem.
