Removing a receiver from the Uverse App remote control

Spoiler

I use the Uverse App remote control frequently. I have two receivers connected. I would like to remove one of them from the App ONLY. I have assigned my default receiver hundreds of times. However, it does no good. It randomly switches the receiver that the App will connect to.

For example, I will be watching a television show in the great room. I try to use the remote within the App and I find it is now connected to the bedroom tv. I reselect the great room as my default again. Then, I may try to watch a recording. I open the App receiver and select the recording and select play. Nothing happens because the App remote has changed to the bedroom receiver and the movie is now playing in the bedroom. I have to stop the movie and then choose the great room receiver and I can then view the movie.

I want to remove all but one receiver from the App so that the App cannot switch receivers. There will only be one. As for the bedroom tv I can use the non-App regular remote when I wish to watch tv there.

I have added the photos for illustration.

1. One shows the App Remote when I first opened it this morning. You'll note that it shows the receiver Master Bedroom when it should show the default receiver Living Room.

2. The next photo shows the window that opens when I click on Master Bedroom. I select Living Room to be my default.

3. It is now connected to my living room receiver as my default. However, I  have to go through this selection process least a dozen times per day.

This sounds like it SHOULD be an easy task.  Can’t someone at AT&T ANSWER this question?  Side note: I NEED to use the iPhone U-verse app because using the on-screen Program Guide causes icon burn-in from the three A, B & C colored icons that remain in a static position on the Program Guide screen. I already had to replace my expensive OLED panel/screen because of this burn-in.  If AT&T won’t re-program the Program Guide screen, at least they could make it easier to use the iPhone U-verse app as we are asking!!!
