UVerse App live TV errors

When I watch tv shows live on iPad in the app, they seem to timeout or the license expires for a show. I get an error message sometime and/or some code (sorry, I forgot to copy them down.) I can only watch a show briefly then screen goes black. Is this normal? Do others have the same problem? I can turn it off and restart or change channels to get back on. I've reinstalled the app before and it doesn't help. Any suggestions other than to just live with it?
