Please stop typing in all caps. It's the equivalent of online yelling. In addition, it's very hard to read.
With that said, over the past few years, the channel owners have really started to push their apps. Why? It's anyone's guess, but it seems it's easier for them to put everything (shows, movies, exclusive content) on the apps.
Your HBO subscription includes HBO Max which has much more stuff than HBO On Demand ever did.
Showtime also has an app although it's merging into Paramount+.

Not talking about the Apps. Talking about the On Demand on the television set through cable that you access through your remote control.

On Demand is all but dead. Blame the content owners for making a conscious decision to move their content to apps.
I'm guessing part of the reason is because it's easier for them to put everything all in one place, considering people don't necessarily watch on a TV these days AND so that subscribers to different providers (Hulu, Amazon, U-Verse, Xfinity, and directly) all get the same content.

Networks like HBO, Showtime & Starz are moving 90% of their On Demand content to their own streaming services like HBOMax and Showtime Anytime. Same with A&E, Bravo, Comedy Central, etc.

HBO and Starz still have hundreds of choices. Showtime and TMC are the one missing most of the content. It may have something to do with ATT trying to get people off of UVerse. I love UVerse and so do everyone that has it.

AT&T doesn't control what each channel gives them.
As already said, Showtime has an app. It wouldn't make sense that AT&T is denying people content when that content (plus more) is available elsewhere. That would seem like a fail on AT&T's part.

It won't work with Paramount+, as that's a separate thing.
Download the Showtime app and see what happens. Are you subscribed to Showtime via U-Verse?

What is happening to the SHOWTIME streaming service?
The SHOWTIME streaming service is being discontinued. Going forward, SHOWTIME programming will now be available through Paramount+ with a subscription to the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan.

It sounds like both Showtime streaming options will only be an available through Paramount+.

Yeah, I can understand that. Showtime by itself was(?) probably a very similar price to the Paramount+ price that includes Showtime.
Why have two apps when you can have one that includes more stuff than just the old app?
