Uverse TV vs. Sony TV update 2023
Since my Sony TV did an automatic update mid-December 2023, when I use th Uverse TV remote, the Sony main page comes up and I have to use the Sony remote to select "TV" before I can watch ATT Uverse TV. Before the update, when I used the ATT remote, my Uverse TV would come on.
My mother has the same TV and also has Uverse. She is dealing with the same issue.
How do I go back to the Uverse coming on when I use the Uverse remote?
I would also love to know when Uverse & ABC are going to get their act together. Tired of paying for a local channel I cannot access!

The issue isn't with ABC, but with Nexstar who happens to own your local affiliate. As usual, they want more money. Because DirecTV doesn't want to raise your prices too much, they're trying to keep that increase as little as possible.
As far as the other issue, it sounds like a Sony thing.

@sydfre It is inconvenient when you are not able to watch a channel that you like but unfortunately, U-Verse does not guarantee any channel on their lineup. This channel is missing because of a current dispute over a contract between U-Verse and Tegna. Hopefully, this dispute will be settled soon but in the meantime, you could go to www.tvpromise.com and claim a one-time credit on your account to help compensate you for missing this channel.
@baseballisback U-Verse/Directv and Nexstar settled their dispute back in September 2023 this is a new dispute between U-Verse/Directv and Tegna that started at the beginning of last month.
