U-verse does not offer access to your recordings from computer browsers or portable device apps.
They provide on-demand access to selected shows. If the show you want to watch matches the offering, you can watch that copy as it is presented.
If you want to watch your actual recordings, get a slingbox or other comperable device. Connect it to the output of an STB & set up the IR blaster to control the STB & connect the slingbaox to the internet.
You will then be able to watch that STB from any computer browser as if you were in the same room. You can purchase an app from slingbox to do the same from your ipad.
It is incomprehensible that i cannot watch recorded content, that i have already paid for, on my ipad at home. I can watch everything else, but not recorded shows. So tell me again, what is the point of recording shows to watch later?

I don't think that word means what you think it means.
You may watch the DVR's recordings on any TV receiver you have in your home. You may watch the same show directly from the online library, if available.
I'm sorry that your expectations do not coincide with the reality.
I can't believe that I can't watch recorded shows on my IPad. I've paid for all the devices (and it's not cheap either) this now makes me think about looking at alternatives instead of ATT. I've been a customer for almost 17 years...
