Downgrading is your only viable option with AT&T.
Of course you can “cut the cord” and choose streaming only, as many are doing today. You’ve got to compare pricing & programming to decide what’s best for you.
AT&T no longer offers a streaming package. That would be DirecTV stream.

Call 800-288-2020 and ask for cancellations. Politely threaten to cancel. Remind them you have options.
Obviously, "your mileage may vary" but I've gotten all sorts of promotions and discounts, including one just a few months ago.
In the past, I've had free internet upgrades, TV upgrades and all sorts of money off.
Take note of when those discounts end. You won't be reminded if you don't make your own notes. If they give you something like free HBO or free U-300 upgrade, those won't automatically turn off.
