Showtime (the cable channel) will become Paramount+ with Showtime.

Meanwhile, Showtime is also currently a cable network. That network will no longer be Showtime and will instead become Paramount+ with Showtime (the TV channel). On that end, the TV network’s profile will receive a boost by also airing “Paramount+ originals in addition to the SHOWTIME originals, as well as Paramount Pictures movies that come to the services.”

Good News! SHOWTIME is now Paramount+ with Showtime, as of January 8th. Your subscription will include Paramount+ with SHOWTIME East & West channels, 10 SHOWTIME multi-plex channels, TMC and FLIX, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME on demand.

PLUS, you’ll have access to the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan on Paramount+ app at no additional charge!

Happy streaming!

I am also very interested in how it will end.

HBO is still there where it always has been.

I'd expect nothing to happen with the Showtime channels.

However...If someone pays for the movie pack (which I think is still a thing),  U-300, U-400, U-450 AND pays for the commercial-free version of Paramount+, they're paying twice for Showtime...and AT&T most likely won't be able to help.

Example:

I pay for Paramount+ because reasons. If I want the commercial-free version of that app, I get the Showtime content.

If I want to upgrade to U-300 because of channels NOT named Showtime (such as MLB Network, NBA TV or REELZ), then I'd be getting Showtime on my U-Verse TVs.

The trick would be to downgrade to the regular Paramount+. Unfortunately, that would mean I'd see commercials on Paramount+.

It seems...if you have REGULAR Showtime channels on your TV:

Nothing changes immediately, but keep an eye open.
