Do you need to complete a Transfer Billing Responsibility request?
A Transfer of Billing Responsibility changes the person who handles payments on an account. It moves your Wireless, TV, Internet, or Home Phone service to a new account owner. If you want to transfer or accept billing responsibility for any type of service, we can help.
Do you need to transfer billing responsibility?
To be eligible to Transfer Billing Responsibility to another account:
• Your account must be active for 60+ days.
• Your account status must be current with no past-due balance.
Note: You're still responsible for any account charges until the transfer is completed.
• If you have combined billing, you need to separate your services, such as AT&T Internet, Phone, U-verse TV, DIRECTV, and wireless, before transferring all or part of the account to a new owner.
• Make sure this account is not an AT&T PREPAID account.
Now that we've determined your eligibility, let's get started!

You can easily move a wireless number to one of your other accounts or a new account.
Important wireless account details:
• If the number being moved is on a plan with Rollover Data®, the Rollover Data doesn't move with it.
• If the number being moved is on a plan with Rollover Minutes®, the minutes don't move with it.
• If only one line remains on your FamilyTalk® plan, we’ll automatically change it to a plan for a single line.
• If you create a new account for the number you're moving, you must choose a new plan. You’ll get two invoices — one for the old account and one for the new account. There may be partial-month (prorated) charges on the monthly service and airtime charges.

There are two ways to transfer a number to us:
• Activate a new line with a number you're transferring from another carrier.
• Replace the AT&T number you have now with one you're transferring from another carrier.
Helpful tips:
• Don't cancel your current service! We'll take care of that when you activate your new device.
• You'll need to pay any balances due your current provider. You may also have to pay an Early Termination Fee to them.
• We may charge a one-time transfer fee, or an activation fee, for each new line of service.
