AT&T Family Map Not Tracking my Galaxy 3

I can't track my Galaxy 3 phone with AT&T Family Map. If I do a complete reset to manufacture setting it will work fine for a couple of months. Then it will not track at all. It says phone is off or out of coverage area. I know factually this is not true. I had the same problem with a Galaxy 2 but got the Galaxy 3 and figured the issue would stop but it hasn't. I have been dealing with these issues for a long time now. No point in paying $9.99 a month if I can't use it.

Hi @LovelyLorraine

 

I’d be happy to help with your FamilyMap location issue! In the event of device tracking not functioning as intended, please try completing the following:

  1. Log into your FamilyMap account on a computer.
  2. Select Manage Account on the upper right of the page.
  3. Select Remove a Family Member.
  4. Select Remove next to the problem line. The line is removed.
  5. Select OK.
  6. Select Add a Family Member to re-enroll the line.

Once this has been completed, please allow 24 hours for the line to be fully registered and test. The device should be able to be tracked again!

Thank you for your help with the issue I am having with AT&T Family Maps.

 

Unfortuantely it did not work.

 

I really believe is has something to do with the update. If I do a complete reset on the phone it will locate for a couple of months with no serious issues. So my thought is that once the phone updates automatically there must be something in the update that causes it to not locate. I experienced the same issue with the Galaxy 1 and Galaxy 2. I never figured it out so I believed it was the phone that was having issues but now I believe it must be the updates. If you have any other suggestions that would be great.
