Bad customer service

I went in the the att store in Union nj on morris ave. Just to pay my bill. The rep ask if he can check my bill make sure I’m getting all discount. I said ok and then he tell me my bill can be lower by $15.00. Never ask me to add a new line nor did he tell me he added a new line. So now I have a 7th line on my account that I don’t want. This is horrible customer service please somebody call me

Suggest you deal directly with the store, which is an AUTHORIZED RETAILER and not an ATT Corporate store, to cancel the line.

Authorized Retailers are not ATT employees.

click on ABOUT to find status of store.

As my thoughts tried to explain, that store is not owned or operated by AT&T.  It's owned by Alliance Mobile, an AT&T reseller.  I'd suggest you visit this link https://allianceatt.com/stores/  for additional information.

We don't know anything about the district or regional management of that chain.

a) We're not customer service reps, we're AT&T customers like you. (Unless the poster specifically says they're an Employee; there are some here.)

b) This isn't a direct line to AT&T customer service... if you wanted that, click Contact Us at the bottom of the page and choose your poison. No one will call you as a result of your post here.

c) We're only telling you the truth.  It may not be what you wanted to hear, but... if you have a complaint against that store, then you need to talk to the owners/management of that store, which is not AT&T, even though it has an AT&T logo above it.

d) You can use whatever Wireless carrier that suits you best.  No skin off my nose.   But you might want to be sure when you walk into another store that you're dealing with a carrier's own store instead of a reseller, so you know just what you're dealing with.

We told you how to communicate with the management of that store.  That's something you asked for that we provided.  As for getting out of the commitment for the extra line..., you're probably best served seeing if the sleazy reseller is willing to fix what they have done and make it right.  AT&T only knows what order they got from sleazy reseller and they're billing you based on that.

You can call (as described above) and get AT&T to cancel the line effective today, but depending on what happened other than opening a new line, that may not be the end of it.

So you obviously got a new phone when that line was added, correct? How did you think them handing you a brand new phone was going to save you $15 a month? 🤔 When this transaction took place you should have read the terms you were agreeing to. Did you?

No I didn’t get a new phone. I didn’t get any paperwork to read.
