Bad recent experiencewith local store

NEW

Update- It is now the next day. I now have AT&T employees. Personally attacking my wife and her business and leaving one star reviews. Despite never using our service. These are the kind of employees you will have to deal with when you go to this store.

After purchasing a s23ultra online for in store pick up I went to pick up the phone. At the time of check out I asked to be directed to the accessories for my new phone and was point to the display in the corner. So I went over and got what I thought was the correct screen cover and case, I even asked the employee checking me out (Chris) if it was the correct stuff, he confirmed it was and sent me on my way.

It wasn’t until I got home and tried to install both items that I found out they were actually for 2 completely different phones. When I went back to the store I was met with nothing but confusion one employee (David) said one of the accessories were on sell while another employee ( Keenan) said that’s weird it’s never on sell and I don’t see where it on sale. They were unwilling to make the situation right (caused by their employee rushing to clock out and not actually verifying the items). I didn’t have my wallet on me as I had just gotten home for the day and forgot to grab it before I left in a rush. So they were completely unwilling to do anything to make the situation right. Instead their “store manager” Davida decided to walk off in the middle of helping me and decided to leave me standing there while he went and “helped” another new customer. I was then met with more attitude and unprofessionalism by an employee of the name Jeremy. He decided he needed to come over to mine and Keenan’s conversation to make statements like “oh this is our fault, come on” “it’s not our fault your forgot your wallet” “havent you ever messed up BRO and continued talking like this until he had enough and then walked away. It was at this point I decided to ask for everybody’s name and was met with it’s on my name tag bro by (Keenan) I had to walk up to each employee to get their names. Then after they got done I was given my receipt for the day and decided to leave. As I was leaving I heard them talking loudly about me and laughing. So with then unwilling to provide any information I was unable to make a formal complaint with AT&T. So do yourself a HUGE favor and just go to the other AT&T store in town. It’s clear this team has NO compassion or want to make a situation right. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend staying away from this store… I will add I’ve been a AT&T customer for 15+ years

Every single person who works for Wendy's, McDonald's, Burger King wears an official uniform and not one single person works for directly for McDonald's. They all work for a franchisee who owns that store or maybe several stores.

Same with cell franchises, they are selling services offered by AT&T.

So none of that matters. What does matter is AT&t's return policy which each authorized retailer also enforces.

When you go to return anything you must have all original packaging it must be in original condition, and you must have your receipt.

I realize sometimes the screen protectors in the cases are labeled in smaller print. Nevertheless it's up to you to make sure that you've purchased the right item, certainly before you open it and try to install a screen protector, at which point you then can no longer return it.

Personally, if you are purchasing cases and screen protectors anywhere other than Amazon you're paying too much. You can get a three pack for maybe 10 - 15 bucks.  And you can get a decent case that has all the same benefits of the very expensive cases for less than 20 bucks.   I always order my screen protectors in my cases as soon as I've decided on a phone and placed my order so that I get my protection before I get my phone.

There’s an excellent chance that the store in question is an AUTHORIZED RESELLER which indicates that it is INDEPENDENTLY owned and operated.

What is the exact address of the store?

Yep. Sounds like an Authorized Retail Store. The employees are not employed by AT&T and AT&T has no control over their business practices. They just sell AT&T good and services.

714 East US Hwy 377, Granbury, TX 7604 is the address. Even if its independently owned are they not still held to at&t customer service standards etc?

Authorized Reseller just as we suspected.  And while one would assume that a store with the AT&T logo would be on the up & up, we see posts ALL THE TIME about customers having issues with these stores.

I worked at a Starbucks inside of retail store.  I wore the green apron and had the name tag but I was employed by the store.  🤷‍♀️.

We were trained by Starbucks but in all honesty, we did what we wanted to do since there was no Starbucks supervisor hovering over us.

@Oceguera31  That's the problem with the Retail Stores (and the kiosks you see in Target, Costco, etc). They look just like AT&T down to the shirts because they are selling AT&T goods and services but they are still not owned/operated by AT&T and are not staffed with AT&T employees.  Being as they are independents, AT&T has no say over how they conduct business. It really is a shame. All you can do is complain to the store manager.
