Business Caller ID

Hi, I am having issues getting 2 of my cell phones outgoing caller IDs changed to my business name. I tried myself in my account, have been calling for weeks - speaking with multiple people, supposed techs & supervisors, given ticket numbers. One phone's caller ID has changed back & forth every other day, the other has not changed at all. After 10+ hours on the phone and speaking with 8-10 different departments & employees, all I want is my caller ID fixed. At this point, I am ready to cancel my service. The customer service at AT&T is absolutely terrible!!!

Hi Sarah216, we want to help you change your display name for Caller ID!

 

If you have already followed these steps to update your caller ID: 

  1. Going to your myAT&T Profile and selecting People & permissions.
  2. Selecting Show details for the number you want to update on Caller ID.
  3. Choosing Edit for Caller ID.
  4. Entering the info and select Save.

Then, please keep in mind that: 

  • You may have to sign out and sign back in to see the new name displayed online.
  • The Caller ID name displays on phones that have Caller ID. It doesn’t override a name saved in a wireless device.
  • It can take up to 72 business hours for caller IDs to show an updated Caller ID name.
  • People may need to clear your number from their Caller ID record for your new name to appear.
  • Some home phone service providers may not offer Caller ID or get regular updates to their Caller ID info.
  • For AT&T PREPAID, the Caller ID name says Wireless Caller.

If this does not help, let us know if you have a wireless account or a business account and what plan you are currently on since caller ID is an advanced feature which is included in our AT&T ActiveArmor advanced mobile security for our AT&T Unlimited Premium plan and Extra Plan; our current plans.

This is a business plan. As stated above I have done this & nothing changes. I was on the phone for 2+ hours yesterday with your "tech" support and they apparently fixed it. I was told it would show in a few hours. 24 hours later, it reverted back like it has been for the past 2 weeks!

Why can't anyone in your company fix this very simple issue??

Same exact problem here too.  Business Account- we want the personal names to display, not the business name.  In our account online, the Caller ID name shows the personal names, but caller ID on any caller ID device shows the business name. 

When we call AT&T, the representative changes it, but it will always revert back within weeks or months.

My daughter is having the same problem with her business cell phone.  She can not get the business name to show up on caller ID.  Has anyone been able to resolve this issue?  She is going to have to cancel her At&t service.

@ATTHelp - Is there anyone that can assist with this issue?     We have 8 lines and have been looking into other carriers as well because this does impact business.   On top of constant billing issues, I'm sure most of us in this thread have spent too many hours with customer service trying to resolve.  How can we get this taken care of?
