Cannot pick up online order in-store without card device was ordered on?

Hi, so my dad bought me a new phone online. I'm an authorized user on his account. From what I understand, I just need a government ID when I walk into the store to get the device. But, they also told me I need to bring the actual card he ordered the device on? But, like, this isn't stated on the order confirmation page at all. The page just says:

"Be sure the primary account holder or authorized user coming to pick up your order brings a government-issued photo ID. For your convenience, we can hold your order at the store for 3 days."

So, I'm confused? It does say on another site page about in-store pickup that you need a credit card "if you only bought accessories." But we bought a whole phone, so...

I'm just confused.

Hello @shycust.

We do require the credit card to be taken to the store because the card is not charged until it is supplied at the store. We have passed on your feedback about making it more clear on the website that the card is required. Thanks for reaching out to us for clarification!
