Find app -- wrong address reported.

Installed the Find App on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra today; later, I restarted my phone. I received an email saying my phone was turned off, but it listed a neighbor's address -- problem, or is this the best it can narrow the location down to?

We hear you, and we would like to get you all the help we can. 

 

Are you using a VPN on your device while the app is open? If so, it's likely affecting the location for your device.

 

Also, if you are connected to your Wi-Fi and it might depend on your IP address of the connection. We would also suggest some troubleshooting steps to reset your location: 

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Tap Location.
  3. Tap the On/Off switch to turn location Off.
  4. Restart your device (power off and on)
  5. Once again, turn off and on your location from settings.
