How to turn off Stream Saver

ATT has now hidden the toggle for Stream Saver. A few months ago, I could find it with a good deal of instruction-searching, since the online instructions never match what I actually see on my account screens, and many, many clicks. When I finally found the page now, on Manage My Data Usage, it says "Something went wrong. We can't find Stream Saver settings." I am really mad.

Hi aignerad, let's help you turn off your Stream Saver!

For plans with Standard definition streaming like the Unlimited Extra/ Starter plan/Value Plus/4 GB plan, Video Management(Now Stream Saver) is set to on and can’t be changed. Typically, for plans that include HD or 4K UHD streaming, like the Unlimited Premium/Elite plan, the feature can be turned off or back on at any time online. There’s no additional cost to use the feature.

Some fixes that may help, if you have established you have the Unlimited Premium/Elite plan and are still unable to turn Stream Saver off are:

  1. Logging off your AT&T account and restarting your device to reset the device you're using.
  2. Clearing your cookies & cache on your web browser settings to refresh your connection.
  3. If you signed in on your account on a web browser, try signing in using the MyAT&T app and vice versa so we can pinpoint the area of concern.
  4. Reinstall your MyAT&T app and check for app updates to fix potential app bugs, to ensure that you're using the latest version of the app.

If this does not help, let us know if you are a Prepaid/Postpaid customer and what plan you are currently on so we can better assist you.

Please let us know when this issue will be resolved.  I have the Unlimited Elite plan for four phones and now the option is missing.

The message: "Something's not working.  We can't get your Stream Saver settings for this plan.  You can still view and update your on/off settings. (UD2800)" is displayed.  There is only a toggle for data and no longer a Stream Saver toggle.  Additionally, one of my lines is now missing from the dashboard.

This is not a browser or generic issue.  This is occuring with the vast majority of subscribers who want to use these features.

If anyone comes across this solution I would greatly appreciate it, I just switched from the Unlimited Elite to the Unlimited Premium for the more benefits.

I have video management off on my elite plan but now I got that dreadful message that it was turning its self back. I have searched high and low to turn this feature back off, and I’ve been on the phone with customer service 10 times and they all claim they turned it off, one even sent me a confirmation #. After all that, it’s still on and hindering my experience. I currently get 500mbps on regular Speedtest and only 2mbps on fast.com

Try this link

https://www.att.com/acctmgmt/usagesummary

Then click the down arrow next to the phone number you want to manage.

did this get resolved? I cannot find the option and Ijust upgraded to the premium plan. I got an automated text message from ATT that informed me about this option and when I went to search for it, I could not find it.

As long as you have a plan that allows data saver to be turned off, it is working now. I now just log in on www.att.com and then click the link under any of my phones that says See usage details. From there I click on the phone I want to manage and scroll down to Video Management and can turn it off or on. Again, it is only there on plans that allow it.
