MY DATA AND VOICE SERVICE HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY RELINQUISHED!!!!

Hello,

My name is Dan I recently had some issues with my Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, and AT&T sent me a manufacturers refurbished phone.   Several months after having this refurbished phone is the data is extremely slow, and my coverage map is full of LTE and good HD voice and regular voice coverage.  Also my family uses AT&T and they have absolutely no issues.  Everytime I speak with an AT&T representative they send me off and say "the problem will be resolved in 24 to 48 hours."  I used to like AT&T, but now even though I don't want to I am considering switching to Verizon as I've watched them in action and certain areas where I work, I cannot work because my phone does not have any coverage.  I need my phone/s for my job someone please help me!!

Thanks,

Dan

Hi there @Dan126899

I’m sorry to hear your service has not been up to par! I’d be happy to help!

Are we dealing with a case of poor network signal? If this is happening everywhere, it may indicate an issue with the device itself. I would recommend bringing the device by your nearest AT&T Device Support Center where we can test the device and if necessary, issue a replacement on the spot. To find the nearest DSC check out our Store Locator and search by your ZIP. Then click the Filter Results link to filter by Wireless Device Warranty Support. All listed DSC locations can assist with your device replacement under warranty.

What may also help find the cause of the issue would be to try inserting the SIM card from one of your family’s devices in your S5 Active and see if the issue remains. If not, it may be your SIM card which is causing the problem, in which case we can replace it for free at any AT&T store.

I hope this helps!

So the question is, is it the phone, or the carrier?
You have every right to switch carriers if the service with AT&T is poor. If you are still in contract, call about ETFs and find out if you can switch without draining your bank.
