Hello jcb29jcb29, we're here to help you disable Visual Voicemail.
Go into settings > applications > select visual voicemail and then disable.
Let us know if this helps.
Thank you for visiting AT&T Community Forums!

Hey there @jcb29jcb29, thanks for letting us know.
We'd like to know a bit more about what's going on with your Visual Voicemail. When you disable the feature in your device's settings, does it automatically turn back on or does it turn itself back on later? If it does either of those, make sure you've turned all permissions for the app Off and clear the app's cache before disabling it again.
We also recommend you to see if the AT&T Visual Voicemail app was built in or preinstalled onto your phone. One of the requirements for using this feature is installing the app if it isn't already on your device, so if this is true for your phone, try uninstalling the Visual Voicemail app entirely.
Let us know if this helps you keep this feature disabled, and if not, we'll be able to look into our options for disabling this within a DM.

I have disabled the app and cleared the cach. The Visual Voicemail keeps returning. When I tap the Voicemail icon on the phone app the Visual Voicemail app tries to open. Very annoying. The only method I have found to not launch Visual Voicemail is to tap & hold the #1 on the phone app which is the speed dial button for Voicemail.

I do not even have the option to disable this app. It only recently started opening so I presume it happened with some updare.
