We understand that you are concerned about the software update and we are here to help you.

 

You can check for available software updates in two different ways, with the first being directly from your device

  1. Open your device's Settings app, then select Software Update and select Check for updates
  2. Select Ok. If an update is available, then just follow the prompts to update. 

You can also check for software updates on our website

  1. Go to the Device Support page
  2. Select your device's make and model. 
  3. Select Device diagram.
  4. Scroll to More Device Help and select Software updates, if available. It'll only appear if there's an available software update for the select device. 

There are some requirements in order to install a software update as well, so make sure your phone:

  • Is located in the U.S., and has a strong connection to our wireless network. 
  • Has 50-80% battery, or is connected to a charger, as to prevent the device from losing power during the installation.
