Unable to update S23
I have a Samsung S23, modelSM-S911U/DS purchased online in Thailand. Now I find out this was originally an ATT locked device and will not update (android 13) unless connected to the ATT network in the US. I'm looking for an alternative to shipping back to the US for update. Can I purchase an ATT prepaid SIM/ESIM, activate the sim, and update the phone?

Yes, some Samsung devices have region locks that prevent them from being used outside of their intended region.
You are thinking right, if you have the availability to put a att sim into the phone it will switch the phone to your region.
