Beware: AT&T offering different prices for new and existing users
AT&T is currently running a promotion giving a $20 monthly discount for signing up for AT&T Fiber internet service.
It's absurd that new customers will pay $35 per month for the SAME SERVICE that I, as a loyal customer, have to pay $55 for.
I tried calling support to get the discount applied to my account but they've been useless. I suspect this may even be illegal.

A promotion to get new customers… only available to fiber addresses which means 35 million addresses are not eligible as cannot receive fiber.
You could cancel your fiber service, wait 90 days then order to be a new fiber customer at lower price.
Of course pricing and promotions can change at any time.
And you must keep ATT cellular service to maintain the discount, change plans or cell provider your fiber pricing is back to normal.

Nothing requires new customers and existing ones to have the same pricing options. You are grandfathered in to earlier options. Sometimes that might be better pricing or more flexible with options depending on the exact differences. New customer pricing might be temporary for the welcome basket.
So new vs existing pricing being different does not make it illegal, even if it seems unfair to you.
