Change Name on Home account

My mom died  7 plus years ago & I have been trying to Just get her name off & my name on the account. A few years ago I was told to go to an ATT Store which I did ans nobody could help me so I gave up as just calling ATT for help is a suicide mission as you get transfered so many times and wait forever that by the time you finally get to the right person you forgot why you called. Just this past week about March 25th 2024 I got transfered 4 times and 1 hour 47 minute call just get a replacement remote for cable box and tv.

All the billing on the account is in my name ( I pay it) So all I need to do is change 1st name only.

If all that fails, go with a BBB complaint. That sends it to upper management (Office of the President) who usually will be in contact within a few business days. Let them know the account owner passed away and as a direct relative and user you are trying to take over the account. Hopefully they can do so without starting over, but depends on the rules.

I DON'Tneed to  transfer billing responsibility!

 All I need to do is take my moms Name off  the account & put my name there. I have been paying under her name on the account with my atm card for almost 8 years now without a problem.

Just like 7 years ago trying to do the same thing at the store where I was told to go to change name but workers at the store have no idea what needs to be done but wouldn't lift a finger & find out what I need to do. and online here where I got no answers.

  I am ready to forget this name change and leave it under her name.

   Also have wireless service with AT&T but that is in my name.

That requires a change in billing. Just because you've been paying the bill doesn't mean you can change the name on the account, they don't care who pays the bill as long as it's paid. So it's up to you.
