Feel like I'm being overcharged, but want to double-check

I have AT&T 1gig home internet with the HBO Max plan. I have been charged $85 for the service for the past couple of months and wanted to start shopping around some options to see if I could save some money somewhere. When I started shopping around on the AT&T website, I noticed that in my Account Management page under the "My Plan" box that my current plan should cost $85 (cut down to $80 with Paperless Billing and Autopay, which I have set up). I contacted AT&T customer service and the agent said that I was just under a promotion back when I signed up that no longer exists and my current plan actually costs $90 (cut down to $85 because I have Autopay and Paperless Billing set up). But, like I said, my Account Management page shows that the plan should cost $80 with the discounts. Nowhere is $90 even mentioned. Just wondering if I was being fed some bologna or if this is really just the truth. I have a snapshot of my Account Management page specifying that the service should cost $80 total. I know it's just $5, but that has already added up to about half a whole month payment already.

Are you using a Credit Card to Autopay your account balance? Last year there was an increase of $5.00 if you did not switch to Auopay to a bank account. AT&T wants to pass along their Credit card process fee. All the Carriers are switching to this.

Do you have AT&T Cellular phone service? You may get a $20 discount if you combine billing.

Yep, that's probably what's going on. Just switched over to a bank account. We'll see if that is what was going on. Thanks for the info!

If you review your past bills you should see where you get the autopay discount and would notice it go from $10 to $5. That would answer clearly what was going on. Where AT&T only reduced the autopay discount for credit cards, other companies removed it completely. This is all for increasing costs of credit card fees for those service companies.

Thanks for your response, Juniper. However, I think my previous discount was still only $5. Just looked at my old bill, which was $80 total, and it lists the items being paid for as:
Internet 1000 (Fiber 1 GIG) Stand-alone
$5 off with AutoPay and Paperless Bill
AT&T ActiveArmor internet security included
Max subscription included
Total: $80

My current bill lists the same items (still showing a $5 discount with AutoPay and Paperless Billing), the only difference being that the total now shows $85 instead. Credit card fee does seem plausible and I went ahead and changed my AutoPay to my bank account. We'll see if that changes anything or not. What I was mostly confused about, however, was why my current plan shows that it should be costing me $85 ($80 with my discount) on my Account Management page when it is really $90 ($85 with my discount). Just feels strange and wanted to double-check with the community if that seemed correct.
