Glendale, California: AT&T Fiber Charges Taxes and Fees?

Hi, all, I live in Glendale, California. AT&T Fiber is quoting me a price for 300 Mbps service, and they say "not including taxes and fees."

So I asked them, "How much are the monthly taxes and fees in my neighborhood?"

And one AT&T rep told me, "I'm not sure, but they are probably less that $2/month."

And another one told me, "Your $55/month service will come out to $60.70/month with taxes and fees."

And a third person told me, "There are taxes and fees for TV and phone, but not for Internet service. You'll pay only $55/month and that's all."

Anyone on this forum from Glendale, California, who can give me the facts about the taxes and fees on 300 Mbps Fiber? Thank you!

Who do you currently have internet service with and what taxes and fees are you being charged?

I would expect your ATT fiber service to be similar…. The pricing is footprint wide for 21 states, each state, county, and/or city may have additions that do not apply in other areas.

Example I know of one area that has 5% state tax, .5% county tax and within one city of that county has a 2% tax so depending on where located within the state could have 5% or 5.5% or 7.5% tax.

Depending on the promotion running could have a $10 monthly equipment fee, or be waived for 12 months then charged $10  or have no equipment fee… since ATT fiber was introduced in 2016 I have seen all three scenarios.

Note the TOS states fees and charges can change over time, if do not agree with the change then cancel the service as failure to cancel means you accept the new changes.

Hello, @my thoughts , I appreciate your opinion! By the way, I also like Yogi. He's smarter than the average bear. :)
