Lost access to MAX

Last night i was trying to watch the Dallas Stars game and suddenly lost access to my account. It kept telling me that I needed to renew my subscription.

Ive had ATT internet for 5 years now and have always had HBO/MAX but all of a sudden I've lost access to it?

@JaayTeee

When was the last time you use Max successfully? What device were you trying to view the basketball game on?

For now let's focus on the web interface for testing since it is easiest.  Does it show that you are signed in to your Max account when you look at the Max account from the web browser?

Try logging out of Max by clicking on the Account on the top header bar and then clicking on Sign out. Is it possible that you never got your Subscription linked directly to your Max ID vs using your AT&T ID and Password.

@JaayTeee Try this:

Contact Max Support at 855-442-6629, or go to Max.com, sign in with your AT&T login on a laptop, phone or tablet first,  and then create a Max username and password. You can then use that username and password to sign in on your television or other devices by “sign in” instead of signing in with the provider. That has worked for some but not all.

Have you made any changes to your AT&T account since first activating HBO Max (now just Max)? Max is owned by WBD now (Warner Brothers/Discovery) so it's really up to them if they want to keep honoring the legacy AT&T accounts.

@dave006 last time I successfully logged in was Friday evening for the game. I'm pretty sure I made an account when I first got internet service with AT&T about 5 years ago. Not sure if it's all linked together or not

@OttoPylot I've tried logging in on multiple devices and they all say I need to verify my subscription. I assume my att and max are not linked together but I'm not sure about that. Haven't made any changes in the last 5 years

@JaayTeee  Then you will have to call Support and have them link up your account if they can. Good luck.

After 6/6/22, Max is no longer offered to new customers purchasing Fiber 1 GIG+ speed tiers.
Existing Fiber 1 GIG+ customers who move their service address or change speeds between 1 GIG, 2 GIG and 5 GIG will lose the Max offer.
Customers who do a Transfer of Billing Responsibility (TOBR) will lose the Max offer.
