Outbound port tcp/25 blocked on ATT Business Fiber with static IP block
We are a new ATT Business Fiber customer; we run servers which serve customers around the world and require to be able to send outbound email via SMTP on port 25 from the static IP addresses we have (paid for) as part of the service.
All outbound connect attempts on port 25 time out. Searching these forums shows that this port is blocked by AT&T. Since this is a business account, we urgently need this unblocked as this is preventing us being able to deliver the services to our customers for which they have paid.
Help please - unable to reach tech support by phone or chat.

Hey @k6tu
AT&T automatically blocks Port 25/TCP to prevent Spam Mail Servers. To have this port unblocked, contact Business Fiber support at 800-321-2000.

Thank you! A call to Business Fiber support got the port unblocked in about 15 minutes (including the hold time). Thanks for the pointer and confirmation.
Perhaps Sales could ask about requirements when a prospect asks about static IP addresses? For example, Yes, we can provision static IP addresses. Do you run a server and if so, does it need to be able to send outbound email?
Then the unblocking issue could be addressed (no pun intended) at the point of order...
Just a thought...
