Price Increase Unless Account Linked to Bank Account - After Data Breach
On April 11 I got a notification that there has been a security breach at ATT.
Then on April 27th I get an email saying the price of my internet will go up unless I link my account to a bank account.
So two weeks after the breach was announced, ATT want more financial information from me or they will increase the price. Isn't this the height of insensitivity?
Not to mention that when signing up for Fiber I was told my price would never increase, then I found out this was not true and that I just have a permanent discount applied instead. They keep raising the price of fiber.

The price did not increase. The discount changed. The discount WAS $10 if you were on auto-pay with a credit card. That was decreased to $5. The $10 discount is still $10 if you use a debit card.
Personally I would never share my bank info, credit card or debit card. I use my bank’s (FREE) bill pay option. I’m willing to forego $5 for peace of mind. 🤷♀️
