Requesting explanation for apparent WiFi switch at time of connection

Greetings.  As I am configuring my wifi (WhistleBlowerMold (kettle whistle, that is)), I notice that the network named tbd----- is being identified as secured and then abandoned.  I do not have the credential for that network.  It is supposed to be Vivint panel's internal network (Vivint that is not in service), and it, in turn is not supposed to have access to my home internet.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your response.

Please try again - what part?  I have already renamed my router and moved on.  I was interested in knowing why that happened.

If it a 'hostile' means of gaining access to the router, I would like to know if others are facing the same issues.  Maybe it will attact the attention of people interested in the data security of the consumers.

@nontechenthu

@JefferMC  is asking you for more details that actually are details of what is you are trying to do. Your Video file is empty, you tbdxxx makes not sense, and we have no Clue what Vivint panel's internal network (Vivint that is not in service), and it, in turn is not supposed to have access to my home internet.

Ouch!  Apologies to all. and to @JefferMC.  @dave006, Thank you.  I have converted the video to an MP4.

My wifi name is WhistleBlowerMold, which is what I am connecting to.  The wifi tbd.... is belongs to the Vivnt security panel (my older home security monitoring system, but not connected to internet).  I have cleared prior knowledge by forcing 'forget known networks'.

repeating original post "As I am configuring my wifi (WhistleBlowerMold (kettle whistle, that is)), I notice that the network named tbd----- is being identified as secured and then abandoned.  I do not have the credential for that network.  It is supposed to be Vivint panel's internal network (Vivint that is not in service), and it, in turn is not supposed to have access to my home internet."

I'm thinking that the video controls on this forum platform do not work.   It appears that it sets up a video playback control, but it doesn't attach to a video, so we cannot see it.

It sounds like you're saying that a Wi-Fi network being broadcast by the Vivint security devices (tbd...) is visible to Wi-Fi clients in addition to the network that you deliberately set up (WhistleBlowerMold) that you expect.  I'm not sure how to change that without unplugging the Vivint system from power and batteries.

Your pictures show that tibd76a9 shows up in the SSIDs that your Window's PC sees available, as do ceciwifi,, Kgurl and a few others in addition to the one that you have set up for your use, WhistleBlowerMold.

And??? What's the question?

It shows tlbd7689 as secured, which means that the SSID and password are validated, but not connected.  It did not have the 'secured' qualification in the first image.  It became secured after WhistleBlower... was secured and authentication happening.
