Smart Home Manager notifications

Every minute I get a message that the smart home manager has blocked a website that is unsecure. How do I stop those messages? It has been going on nonstop for days now.

3 options:

  1. Try to find out what's attempting to make that connection.  It could be an app on your cell phone (while on Wi-Fi), something you're actively browsing to, something an IoT device is doing.  The message should at least tell you the device that's making the connection, and the name of the site may give you a hint as to what might be going there.  If it's someone in your home in a browser visiting that site, tell them to quit.
  2. If it's the same site every time, you could click to allow the traffic.  I don't know what the site is, and if that's a good idea or not.  But it should get rid of the message.
  3. You could disable notifications for AT&T Smart Home Manager.  That would stop the notifications.
  4. You could just turn off the AT&T Smart Security feature.  That would get rid of this message.

Hi @derek1956! We understand that you're getting notification on your Smart Home manager regarding blocking unsecure website. We hear you, and happy to assist you.

This happens when devices connected to Wi-Fi are accessing any unsafe websites and when AT&T ActiveArmor is active, these websites will be blocked.

We recommend that you can follow few steps below to remove ActiveArmor from Smart Home Manager:

  1.  Log in to the Smart Home Manager on a desktop.
  2. Click on “Home Network Hardware” and then on your Wi-Fi gateway.
  3. Enter the access code which is on the back of your modem.
  4.  Go to Advanced Firewall Settings and disable the home security.

If you want to keep the ActiveArmor active, you can unblock the website from the Smart Home Manager's notification.

For more information please visit our website about AT&T ActiveArmor, and Learn about AT&T ActiveArmor internet security.

Let us know how it goes!
