SONET
Can I get a SONET connection at a residential address?
I am in St. Louis and Fiber just became available for my neighborhood. We want this to be a true, dedicated, synchronous fiber optic connection to the backbone of the internet. Is this possible in residential?

It is likely possible to get SONET fiber service pretty much anywhere, if you're willing pay for the installation of the fiber and the service.
If you're asking if you can get SONET service over residential shared-fiber service, the answer is a resounding no. The fiber is running some version of PON (likely XGS-PON these days if you're being newly installed), and the architecture (splitters, etc.) is not conducive to running SONET over it.
