USA based customer service
Considering the recent data breach mess; how do i speak to someone not reading off a (Edited per community guidelines) script. Is there a department where I can speak to someone in the continental USA. Do better AT&T

You do understand the data breach was in 2017 and not recent. How much would you be willing to pay to reach a USA based agent who will also be reading from (Edited per community guidelines) Scripts? The (Edited per community guidelines) scripts are part of the standard Call Center call handling for basic (Edited per community guidelines) calls.
Do you have a specific (Edited per community guidelines) problem or issue that you are trying to get a resolution or is this a General Rant?

want to check if that store front is a corporate or authorized retailer?

select STORE INFO & HOURS from chosen store list
Select ABOUT will list either AUTHORIZED RETAILER or not.
In my opinion about 75-80% of stores are Authorized Retailers. That is an average of 1 in 4 to 1 in 5 is staffed with ATT employees.
The store might not be able to help you, but you get someone not reading off a script.

When you call you get the next agent available. Not up to you to exclude where they are from (not even Hawaii, since you specify "continental").
