Who to call if my fiber internet is out for 2 days?
Every time I see an AT&T truck in my neighborhood, I know I will have interruption with my internet fiber service. My internet has been out since April 14, 2024. What number should I call to get a real person talking to me? I have been using AT&T SmartHome Manager app to check my outage status, and I'm not able to get a real person talking to me on the outage. My area code is 94577 and I use Fiber 1000. I also know my neighbors' network are down too.

Talking to a live person while in the midst of a known outage cannot tell you anything other than there is an outage and being worked on. The bigger the outage area the more addresses affected. Cause of outage or when work is to be completed would not be information available to any front line employee you could talk to.
If internet is vital for income or virtual schooling recommend a redundant service such as cable or fixed wireless access (5G FWA) or a local WISP if cannot use your phone as a hotspot.

edit… the zip code has an outage of multiple blocks suggests a main fiber line was cut most often the result of digging, is there a construction project in the area, road widening, new complex or subdivision, etc.?
