Why is it so difficult to claim a reward?

Without going into great detail (I do have names and dates of every phone call), I began my fiber service in January 2024. When I signed up for fiber, I was told I would receive a 250.00 rewards card.  I have been on the phone with the Rewards Center, First Net, ATT Customer Service, ATT Customer Retention / Loyolty at least once a month since March 2024.  On 5/2/24 I was told the matter had been resolved and the card would be issued.  It has still not been "authorized by ATT for the Rewards Center to release a card".  No one has been able to "fix" this problem.  Why is this so complicated?  After reading about similar complaints, it seems that the only way for them to respond and be helpful is to go online and start complaining.  I'm a pretty chill person and so far I have remained very calm on the phone with the service reps (I realize that they did not start this mess, but they really aren't very helpful).  Am I really supposed to start behaving like a raving lunatic in order to get some help?  Thoughts?  Anyone?

Well, I followed your suggestion and spoke to the escalation team.  Their response was that there was nothing they could do since greater than 120 days have elapsed since I began service; even though I called multiple times in March, April and May.  I will say that Jacob, Shelby, Adam, April, Travis, Tescia, Adrianna, Sandra, Julie, Natasha and Leah (sorry if I missed a name or two, I didn't start keeping track until later in March) all remained very professional and appeared to be understanding.  Most assured me that they had rectified the situation and made note of it on the account.  However, every time I spoke to someone new, they informed me that something was either not notated or had been entered incorrectly.  I was even credited at one point $50.00 because AT&T customer service kept me on hold for so long because they were unable to get ahold of the rewards center!   The rewards center will not issue the owed reward.  AT&T says there is nothing else they can do.  As a consolation, I was given one month of free internet service from AT&T.  While I usually take negative reviews into consideration, I guess I should have given them more weight this time in my decision making process.  To be fair, the service is good when it works (it's gone out twice since January, once requiring 2 days for a repair crew to come fix it.  My other internet service provider went out maybe twice in the last 5 years).  I'll just take my 30 days of free internet to mull over what to do next (probably go back to what I was using for the past 20 ish years... a little bit more money, but I guess you get what you pay for).

So, how is this not being posted in the internet section? Where should this be posted?  If I'm missing something please help.....

@Johnneedshelp

It will not help since this is not a formal AT&T Support tool. For the record your Topic was here in the correct Fiber Forum when you posted last Month. I even saw your update from this morning. I will also confirm that I don't Follow the Wireless discussions.

Your issue with any eligibility for Rewards begins and ends with your initial Order. It appears you ordered over the phone with a sales rep, is that correct?

The Reward center only deals with the Visa Reward Cards after they are automatically notified from the AT&T Order system. They are a third-party that only manages the processing of the claimed rewards and manages the generation of the physical cards (or virtual cards) after Customers claim the reward(s) listed under the customer's account.
