AT&T broke main water pipe and left a hole open in our front yard after fiber installation
We had an incident that AT&T came to our house after 3rd appointments finally installing a fiber internet conduit for our house. The AT&T contractors broke our main water pipe for our house while digging on our front yard to install the conduit. The water pipe broke with water spraying all over the place. And they were trying to fix the water pipe themselves without any plumbing license and tried to use pipe glue to glue back copper water pipe ?! After 3 hours wait, they asked us to find our own plumber and they will pay for the job. Promise made and our plumber came early on 2nd day morning. AT&T contractor texted us they were coming to pay for the plumbing fix job, but they ended up LIED, NO SHOW and BAILED ON US without returning any phone call.
We have 3 kids at home with no water to use. What do we do in this situation? AT&T left a hole open in our front yard with broken water pipe exposing, and their contractors lied and bailed. WHAT A RIDICULOUS AND DISHONEST situation AT&T had put us in...…

AT&T didn’t put you in the situation the contractor did. Seems your plumber fixed it just the contractor hasn’t pain yet. So why are you without water if your plumber fixed it?

The contractors stated they are from AT&T... essentially it's AT&T's responsibility.

Contractor's would be responsible for damage done by their employees. AT&T will take responsibility for any damage their employees cause via Sedgewick (been there....done that).
This is a customer populated forum and not a way to contact AT&T. Did the workers provide any kind of identification at the time? If you do not know the name of the contractor, you can file a complaint with the BBB.

ATT hired the contractor who caused the damage. ATT is responsible for restoring customer to where he was prior to the damage and making him whole - paying for all damage repairs.

When it comes to being compensated for the property damage to cover the repairs, first call 800 288 2020, then file a general liability claim with the agent on the phone. Make sure to write down the claim number and then use it to register here: https://login.mysedgwick.com/register to check on the process yourself. Essentially after the initial claim is filed you will be contacted by adjuster who will take over the process.
