Box Should Not Have Been Installed in Front of House

I just bought this house.  I ordered AT&T wireless service.  The Installer put the box right in the middle front of the house, not with the other utility boxes on the side of the house.  This is a fixture on my house and it is ridiculous.  No one else in the neighborhood has a box like this in front.  Worse, I have no idea who to call to have this fixed.  If this doesn't work, I an cancelling the service and seeing if another provider can fix this mess.

Where are you other utility boxes located and where is your AT&T Gateway installed?

Where you present for the install and did you discuss where you wanted your service installed? Oh by the way this is not an AT&T Wireless installation.

I am going to guess that your other utility boxes are on the side of your house that has an asphalt driveway blocking a burial route for your Fiber drop. I am also going to guess that your AT&T Gateway installed on the other side of the wall where that AT&T Slack NID is installed.

Thanks for the feedback.  My frustration, is I have no idea who to contact to have this resolved.  I going in circles on a 'community" forum.  Instead of someone saying, we will be out to fix this.

I'd suggestion some paint in various shades of red to do an urban camouflage pattern on that NID.

Okay. This is a forum of customers of AT&T.  So let me vent.  I just bought a house.  I was in the middle of unpacking.  I should have dogged the "professional" installer but I did not.  Here's the thing.  What kind of company an I doing business with, when if I am not paying attention, there employees deface my house.  Because its the easiest way to do the minimum neccissicary and move on to the next job, or lunch or break time or what ever.  Then you try to find out how to get this condition fixed and the website circles you to either an automated chat that gives you the wrong answers, a community forum so another customer can try to answer for them, or an employee links you to a chat that ties up at the 'waiting for next representative".  Does anyone at AT&T take pride in the work or there company? Because all I want to this point is to find an alternative company who actually cares about; what my house looks like or has actual employees available to help.

You have been offered a DM.  Bear in mind that you must reply in a timely fashion or it expires.

I am sitting on the DM now.  Are standards really this low.  And is everyone just okay with that.  "we are attempting to contact the correct group to address your issue".  AT&T makes the DMV look efficient.

Yes there are multiple thousands of great employees but they can't perform magic. They have to work with your existing home configuration and where utility access points are located. It would have helped if you took the time to answer my initial questions we might have been able to explain the how and why. And the discussed other options to possibly rework your install.

Because all I want to this point is to find an alternative company who actually cares about; what my house looks like or has actual employees available to help.

Your options are a Cable ISP or Fixed Wireless ( T-Mobile, Verizon ) 5G if it is available your address. Cable is going to have the same issue with the asphalt driveway unless a previous owner had a Cable ISP and the cable connection is already in place. Last choice option would be Satellite but that may not be available or cost effective.

Verizon: https://www.verizon.com/5g/home/

I appreciate your help but, I was hoping for a method to get this scheduled to get fixed.  I can's spend my day on a forum.  I am dissatisfied with AT&T's service.  be that one installer and an ineffective customer service system or the whole company.  I don't really care to know.  Eventually, I will find another option because this cant be the best there is.  I'm sorry I cant explain to you that I have no desire to become an expert in internet services, I'm just at a place in my life where, I dont care what 5G is or the best way to lay fiber optic.  I just want to pay someone to set up my service in a way that doesn't deface my house.  If that is impossible for AT&T they it must be possible for someone who actually wants my business.  But thank you, sincerely.
