Cell phones do not work after AT&T fiber internet installed
I have Mint Mobile and Assurance Wireless cell phones. After you installed fiber internet cell signal is "NO SERVICE". I step outside on my balcony...bam...I have full signal...max bars. I step inside my apartment...bam...NO SERVICE. If I stand in my bedroom next to the window I get 1 bar...but I can only use the phone for a few minutes...then...bam...NO SERVICE.
What did you do? What can you do? Should I go back to Spectrum?

Installing fiber to the home has zero to do with cell service.

If installing fiber has nothing to do with cell service...then why aren't my phones working since the install 2 days ago. Never had this issue before....

No idea. Have you check with your cell service? Cell service is from a tower. Fiber is either buried or aerial and dedicated to the building it's serving. We're you using your phone over the internet or were you using it off the signal from the tower?

Did you understand....My cell signal is max bars on balcony. I step inside "NO SERVICE". The guy ran a fiber wire around my apartment where the wall meets the ceiling...so the entire apartment has a fiber wire around it. This has to be it...nothing else has changed.

Also...I never use wifi on my phones as I have unlimited plans. So that fiber wire installed around the entire apt is causing the cell signal to fail.

OK whatever you say, have them remove the fiber and switch back to spectrum.

Let's look into a resolution for you, @ritvicamayo!
We want to advise that while you're not an AT&T Wireless customer you should check with your service provider about how you can enable the use of Wi-Fi Calling on your devices.
Also, experiences of dropped calls, failed call attempts, and poor call quality can occur for a number of reasons, including gaps in network coverage, weather, foliage, buildings and other construction, signal strength, high-usage periods, customer equipment, and other factors. You will want to contact your service provider for steps on how to troubleshoot your service trend.
We hope this info helps!

There is no way the installation of your internet service has anything to do with your cellular service. It’s a coincidence that your service inside went bad after the install.

Exactly, if you turn off wifi on the mobile devices and you don't have cell service and you did before, it's a coincidence. The best option is to contact Mint Mobile. AT&T's work is done here in regards to the mobile service that is not on their network.

Yeah...this is a coincidence I don't want...... My cell phones work when I step out...I step into my apartment...no service. THIS STARTED AFTER the guy glued the fiber around the ceiling. WHY WOULD I CONTACT MINT when my phone works on my balcony???????????????? You don't understand so don't answer again. Anybody else????
