Experiencing terrible connection on PS5, with Att fiber using google mesh
I am experiencing terrible connection via WiFi with my Att fiber. I am using google mesh WiFi system. I tried enabling passthrough on my bgw 320 modem, but didn’t disable Att WiFi from modem. Is that an important part I am missing ? Then after I disable the Att WiFi correctly, then connect the google mesh to WiFi I have created ? Any help would be awesome !

Which Google Mesh system do you have please post the Model information? Are you trying to use the same Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) on your Google Mesh system and your BGW320?
For IP/Passthrough mode which mode are you trying to use:

Hey Dave appreciate your response! I am using the TP- Link Deco AX 1800 WiFi 6 system.
I’ve read a few other tutorials and it stated to use pass through, and select fixed option. Then selecting the MAC address of my main deco. I have my original ATT WIFI name ( LakersForLife) then my deco WiFi name ( Lakersforlifedeco ) . After I completed those steps, I connected everything to my deco WiFi. I did miss the big step of disabling my ATT WiFi ability to avoid double NAT. That would make a big difference right?
I did find that once I activated pass through mode, I couldn’t get my other decos connected to my main one either

IP passthrough is an unnecessary complication if you simply need to get better wifi. Set your device to operate in access point mode. Factory reset the gateway and shutoff the radios. QED.
A wired connection is always better for online gaming.

WiFi is great everywhere except my connection to my gaming console. My main modem is in my living room with my console in the basement. That was the reason I opted for Google mesh to improve connectivity in the basement.
Also, I apologize what do you mean by “ radios “ and QED?

Also, my Ethernet cord in my att gateway is plugged into the 5 GHZ port, and then into my Google mesh port (1) .
how should it be plugged in to use IP pass through mode ?

A "TP- Link Deco AX 1800 WiFi 6" is not made by Google. Calling this a "Google Mesh" is inaccurate and confusing.
"Mesh": yes.
"Google": no.
"TP-Link Deco Mesh": Correct
"Deco Mesh" or "TP-Link Mesh": acceptable.
QED is an abbreviation for the latin phrase that translates "that which follows" or "that which has been shown."
Your Deco main unit can be plugged in to any of the 3 yellow ports or, allegedly, the blue port, but the blue port may struggle with syncing with some other devices more than the yellow.
Friends don't let friends do serious gaming over Wi-Fi.

Or as one of my past math teachers would fondly say, Quite Easily Done.
Radios refers the wifi transmitters for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. You’ll want to turn those off in the gateway if you use your own.

Ok, so ip pass through is not necessary? Now I’m confused lol
just needs to be in access mode?
when I tried that, my connection was terrible on console. If Ethernet is not possible in my basement, is it something I just can’t do then? Doesn’t seem right .
ill try pass through mode on my gate way, access point mode on my tp link deco unit, disabling WiFi on my gateway and maybe that will work?

No. The gateway needs be in its normal default state and the deco configured in access point mode. Performance of the deco is not based on the mode.

Wouldn’t I get double NAT traffic then? At least that’s I’ve read. Some connections coming from gateway, and some coming from deco?
