Fiber Optics Installation Damages to our backyard by ATT subcontractor Ocean Link LLC

We reported damages (using the HOA outlined process for Ocean Link LLC) to our back yard related to AT&T fiber optics installation with a detailed damage report with pictures from late March. Unfortunately, we are being ignored or caught in unresponsive loops from several of their points of contacts. They agreed to reimburse us for certain items but they refuse to provide an outlined process to do so.

We had the city and county pull the grant of easement for AT&T and we now have evidence they were operating outside of it for our private property. They had requested we pursue civil action as a result and provided substantial documentation to do so.

We simply wish to be made whole for our own personal damages. At this point, our ask remains the same to allow us to hire our own independent contracts to complete the work and get reimbursed.

How do we escalate these complaints to AT&T Fiber Optics division who was responsible for subcontracting with Ocean Link LLC?

Could you expand on this operating outside of the Easement? Any Utility are company and any authorize contractors or subcontractor have the right of access to the Easement. They are not limited to only being on the Easement.

Do you have an example of what they damaged? One or two (2) pictures would help. Depending on your City or County regulations they may only be required to regrade the ground and seed or sod the area.

At this point, our ask remains the same to allow us to hire our own independent contracts to complete the work and get reimbursed.

The Contractor Ocean Link LLC is licensed and bonded (insured) to perform the work in the Easement. Could you provide a general overview of the work you want an independent contractor to perform. Any improvements you have adjacent to or within the Easement or preventing access to the Easement are not required to be repaired or replaced.

Thank you for sharing the details with your concerns.

They agreed to reimburse us for certain items but they refuse to provide an outlined process to do so.

What items did Ocean Link LLC agree to reimburse you for? I am sure it is very limited based on your previous post.

We simply wish to be made whole for our own personal damages. At this point, our ask remains the same to allow us to hire our own independent contracts to complete the work and get reimbursed.

Your next step if you want to reach AT&T is to call 1-800-288-2020 and say Damage Claim at the VRU prompts. Once you reach a rep tell the rep that you want to open a new property damage claim. The rep will provide you with a new Claim number. Since AT&T is self-insured they use Sedgwick to manage the claim process.
