Gateway WiFi Name and PWD Rename to old Deco S4 WiFi Name and PWD
I have a Deco S4 mesh that was formerly installed on a cable system.
Only using the AT&T gateway and now the Deco S4 is completely disconnected.
Have Win11 and the network shows the old Deco network name/password.
Question: Can I change the AT&T gateway name and password to that of the Deco S4?
The purpose is to retain printers, TV, security cameras that were linked to the Deco wifi name and pwd.

Yes you can make this change on your AT&T Gateway's Admin interface at http://192.168.1.254 under the Home Network tab or by using the AT&T Smart Home Manager (SHM) app.
You can also use the web version of the SHM at https://myhomenetwork.att.com/

If it were me, I'd shut the radios off in the gateway to avoid unnecessary interference, and set the deco into access point mode. Your devices will pickup new IP address from the gateway.

You may have to manually re-connect some LAN devices. Some LAN devices have security built in which knows when the wireless AP changes (e.g., DECO S4 -> AT&T Gateway) and as a security measure makes you manually reconnect (using the same network name and password) as a precaution.
