Inquiry on fiber on my patio
Does anyone know how I can find out the status of orange flags and markings on my patio? I know they’re gonna lay fiber but I don’t have AT&T and I’m trying to get my landscaping done on my patio. It was scheduled for June 11 and now I went out there today and they have orange flags and markings up there, what does that mean?

It means there's a line or drop where the flags or paint are.

Markings and flags means someone called for a locate service (811), the result of that is what you see…
The question is who called, an ATT contractor that is hired to perform new wiring…
OR….
the company you hired to perform the landscaping?

Flags say AT&T on them.. so the project I’m about to have put on my patio is going to cost me $4500 and now I’m afraid to let them go ahead with it because I don’t know The timeframe that AT&T has in mind. From everything I’ve read AT&T will turn around and mess up all the work they put into it and I’ll be out $4500.. I’ve been waiting two months for the landscapers to have time and they finally got it scheduled for July 11 and then I walk out there today and see these flags. I’m at a loss and would appreciate any info anyone might be able to give me on how I could find out exactly when and what is going on?

Recommend talking to your landscapers, my guess is they were the ones who called 811 for the locate… following the Call Before You Dig .
Solid colors represent existing lines found, meaning already underground… while white would be for purposed new route.
from online search
At one time or another, you’ve probably noticed small flags of various colors placed in your yard or in the grass around town. Sometimes the grass is also marked with paint. What does this mean?
It means someone in the vicinity is planning to do some digging and they called Diggers' Hotline at 811 to mark the areas where utilities such as electricity, water, gas, phone or other lines are buried. If these lines are not marked and someone digs up a line, it could be detrimental.
But what do all the different colors mean? The American Public Works Association has color-coded all utilities so it’s easy for those in the industry to immediately identify what utility is running where. Here’s a key to the flags’ colors:
RED – Electric Power Lines, Cables, Conduit and Lighting Cables
YELLOW – Gas, Oil, Steam Petroleum or Gaseous Materials
ORANGE – Communication, Cable TV, Alarm or Signal Lines, Cables or Conduit
BLUE – Water, Irrigation and Slurry Lines
GREEN – Sewers and Drain Lines
PINK – Temporary Survey Markings
WHITE – Proposed Excavation
