Is this correct? Fiber worked without Fiber Service Box

I received a self install for BGW320, but could not find the ATT Fiber service box anywhere. So I plugged the BGW320-500 directly into the wall (yellow color port) with the ONT cable and it worked? Does this mean this wall port is connected to the service box? I can't find it anywhere, unless it's in attic. Thanks!

Yes there is an ONT somewhere...

If old service might be outside box on side of home with a toaster size power supply somewhere inside within 20 feet of the outside box.

If have a basement, check there as well as all closets and laundry area. Might be a metal or plastic enclosure in the wall with a door or cover plate.

Normally I would expect  RED outline for ONT port connection as yellow is used to identify ethernet.

Are you plugged into the RED port of the gateway?

I'm in California so there's no basement. Searched everywhere except Attic but just couldn't find anything. I believe last year ATT said there's no fiber when I tried to sign up, somehow this year there is. So something must have changed in my neighborhood.

- Yes the ONT cable is plugged into the RED port on the  BGW320-500.

- Is this safe/okay to just use it then, is there a need to ask a tech to check it out?

Thanks!

Ok found it. It's in a box outside on the wall, with screws on it. ATT fiber box is inside. :)
