Is This FIber?
Today an AT&T truck drove up to each pole on my street and looked to be installing some sort of black box and marking each box with an orange tag.
This is the closest picture I could find to what they put up, the pictures I take are really blurry because my phone has a bad camera but here it is.
And this last picture is how it looked before.
If it is possible to tell is this fiber or could this just be maintenance?

That appears to be a Corning PushLok fiber terminal.
If just being installed there is more work needing to be done but hopefully service will be turned on for ordering within next 90 days.
In the past normally will get mailings, and door to door sales about the time scheduled for ordering. In my experience existing ATT internet customers will be contacted first before local cable subscribers. The first 30 days after going live is the busiest and will see multiple trucks installing at various homes... waiting about 2 months after activation would be my recommendation.
