Port 25 blocked on Gigapower?

Good evening,

Does AT&T block outgoing port 25?  I just had my Gigapower installed today, but outgoing email does not work.  It's coming in fine, however.

Thanks

AT&T blocks port 25 outbound on all residential accounts.  You can try sending a Private Message to @ATTU-verseCare if you require port 25, or you can use some other port to a relay server.  AT&T provides relay servers that operate on other ports with encryption and  authentication, but they do have message number/recipient number restrictions.

I run a private email server.  I would be almost certain that email totals would fit with anything reasonable required by AT&T for SMTP Relaying.  Do you have a site that lists the relay addresses and requirements?  I just tried forwarding to the smtp.mail.att.net address but I get errors that the From address must match authentication, which of course, it won't.

Thanks

I appreciate that, but I am not looking to configure my own mail client, but instead to send outbound SMTP traffic from my own small email server.

Thanks

Unfortunately, that's something that should be disclosed along with all of the "hey, this is going to be so great!" information.  I'll find another solution.  I'm not going to pay to have something that should have been disclosed.  I've already had them show up wanting $100 for installation even though our agreement waived it entirely.  The best part is that I'm getting speeds of 92 - 187 megs right now... obviously a problem somewhere.   This is day one.  Not off to a good start.
