PROPERTY DAMAGE CLAIM
Dear AT&T,
Your customer experience is lacking in so many ways. I need to file a property damage claim from an irrigation line that was damaged when AT&T buried the cable at my brand new home. I called AT&T. I was given another phone number to call. I called that number and was told that it was the corporate security department and that I actually needed to call risk management. I have now called that number twice, been on hold for 15-20 minutes and then the call rings as if being transferred to an agent only to get the dreaded "the number you have dialed is not in service" message. I have called AT&T customer service back hoping someone there could assist. What did she do? Yeaaaa..... She transferred me back to the number I JUST TOLD HER was disconnected. You need to do better AT&T. And also hold your third-party partners accountable. Just filing a claim should be the easy part. Getting it approved and repairs completed should be the struggle. There are major flaws in your system. If someone can provide me with a number I haven't called already that would be great.

The current policy is to call 1-800-288-2020 (CS) and say “damage claim”.

Yea, that doesn't work. That's who I called. They send you a link for phone damage claim not property damage claim. That is also who transferred me back to the disconnected risk management line.

I am curious where you are on your claim. AT&T claims handler, Sedgwick, are artist at giving the delay and run-around. I am pretty much considering having my brother's law firm just go ahead and sue AT&T for acting in bad faith, using my property without permission to provide services, and just causing my family and I distress at a horrible time in our life, having to deal with sleezebags who's game is to put-off as long as they can. I have no more patience since we lost our youngest son while this is all going down.

I’m convinced that the “runaround until customers give up” play is their strategy but I’m not here to play these games with them. I think it’s best to hire counsel and have the attorney represent you.

When it comes to being compensated for the property damage to cover the repairs, first call 800 288 2020, then file a general liability claim with the agent on the phone. Make sure to write down the claim number and then use it to register here: https://login.mysedgwick.com/register to check on the process yourself. Essentially after the initial claim is filed you will be contacted by adjuster who will take over the process. Can ask for supervisor if said agent doesn't know what to do.

This is what I received after getting the runaround for a year:
Good afternoon Mr. Herpin,
This claim was sent to legal for handling as this is not covered under the policy. Someone from legal will be contacting you to discuss.
Thank you,
