Replacement SC/APC troubleshooting

Bought a new cord as suggested in forum answers I found via Google search. Took the old one out and replaced it with one from Bangnum, only getting flashing red light now.

Is it worth it just to call out a tech? I didn't hear anything break when doing delicate install but I don't have a lot of time to sit around and play with this. I'm lucky to be in an area where yesterday I could have gotten a tech here today but opted to do it myself.

And fail.

So flashing red before replacement, flashing red after… recommend scheduling a service call.

While the problem could still be inside the home, it could also be outside where you have no control or abilities.

Why did you replace the fiber cord?

Was it working before removing the original cord?

Flashing red is no light detected which suggests you either do not have the cord fully connected, the SFP is not fully connected or damage to the fiber behind the wall plate.

The cord was broken, hence the replacement. Cat chewed it or something.
