Can I get one static IP address for my high speed fiber connection?  If yes, how do I do that?

Thanks to everyone here.  I finally got back to this project, called the 800 number, got a person who gave excellent customer service on both of my questions.

You may be required to become a business customer.

While AT&T has offered static IP addresses to consumers in the past, it is not supposed to be done.

@RDiersing

I think you’ll find your public IP address will not change while you have your account.

Static IP is still offered for residential customers and there's no need for tech to swing by nor 99usd fee either as it's something that can be done over the phone.

Thanks for all the comments here.  I am a business customer so I gather it is possible.  I do not find the AT&T website the easiest thing to navigate.

Businesses are not allowed to perform self install, thus the $99 tech installation.

At least when I was a tech… even to swap a gateway was a dispatch.

Do businesses have tech availability on a same day?
