TECH NO SHOW

I had an appointment today, 12pm to 2pm....Tech never showed. Status just says sorry he's late. Is there some secret way to get a tech to keep an appointment?

No, appointments are scheduled based upon number of techs scheduled to work each day…

If have tech call out due to sickness or family emergency, or tech assigned multiple jobs for same time frame means some will be late and others may need to be rescheduled. If take (4) jobs per tech and 2 techs call out that is 8 jobs hanging. In a different business model if 10% of workforce calls out, that will affect the businesses customers regardless of type of business. 

Appointment windows for installs are every two hours but the standard fiber installation is closer to 3 to 3.5 hours and potential customers should be told up to 4 hours. Thus if tech has installs at 8-10, 10-12 and 12-2, pretty sure the 3rd one will be late unless someone cancels early appointment or have all apartment, existing installations. The 2-4 installs might see someone by 6 pm.

There is an app can use called Where’s My Tech to determine if the job has been dispatched on, pending, or assigned to a tech.

Tech finally called and showed.  Did a good job with my underground Fiber install. 2597 down 2450 up on 2gb service.  Happy now!

How long did the job take?

GOOD to hear tech was a show and work completed.
