Who can tell me when Fiber line will be available?

I have AT&T DSL service, I have been a loyal customer for 15 years. In 2014 a Fiber line was installed down Hwy 321 ( Chester Hwy) McConnells SC I live in the 3800 Block. The DSL service is now down more than it is up. We also have Direct TV at the location whicjh gives us very little problems... Who can I reach out to to find out the date that the Firber line will be able to be used for residential us. I know that AT&T didn't just spend that much money to run a trunk line from York SC to Chester SC for it to just lay in the ground and not service anyone. PLEASE HELP... we have 4 children that are in school and are now dependent on this to start school.

AT&T doesn't announce expansion plans for services. There's no guarantee that fiber line you're referring to is intended for residential service. AT&T isn't concentrating on fiber expansion in existing neighborhoods any more. Most new fiber is dedicated to 5G towers, government & emergency services and new housing developments. You can try calling this number for new service & expressing your interest in fiber: 866.861.6075. You can also look into ordering dedicated business internet. Installation costs are around $10 per foot from source, so 1/2 mile of fiber would be around $26K. The service requires a multiyear agreement, 2 or 3 years, instead of 12 months as with residential service. Costs start at $550 per month for 10/10 internet around $1080 for 100/100.
